At 14:10 on June 23rd, 2021 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched from Jeffcom to a vehicle fire at W. 13th Ave. & Simms St. in Lakewood. Engine 2 arrived on scene to an RV on fire and began extinguishing the fire. Tower 2 arrived on scene and transferred their water tank to Engine 2, and then filled their tank at a nearby hydrant and shuttled water back to Engine 2 to finish putting out the fire. Southbound Simms St. was closed to one lane during the fire operations. The cause is under investigation and no injuries.
