South Metro Basement Fire
At 08:58 on May 22nd, 2021 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to smoke investigation at 6092 S. Aberdeen St. in Littleton. South Metro Fire Emergency Communications reported that brown smoke coming from the front door of a home under construction. Battalion Chief 2 arrived to small one-story structure with smoke showing from the Alpha side, and took command in the offensive strategy on the Alpha-Delta corner with a working fire. Ladder 12 arrived and assigned to advanced a hose line to the front door and start primary search, and Engine 11 to secure the water supply to Ladder 12. Crews located a hole in the living room main first floor that a fire in the basement had burned through. The fire was quickly controlled but required extensive overhaul to make sure all the smoldering areas were completely extinguished. All searches of the home were clear, and no injuries occurred. The SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
