Residential Structure Fire

On September 9th, 2021 at approximately 11:15 South Metro Fire Rescue, Franktown Fire Protection District, and Arapahoe Rescue Patrol were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 6360 Arapahoe Ct. in the Pinery neighborhood of Douglas County. Dispatched advised responding units that a contractor was on scene and that smoke was coming from the building. Engine 43 arrived on scene and found a working fire in the basement. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and were on scene about an hour checking for extension, mopping up hot spots and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
