South Metro Structure Fire

On December 23rd, 2021 at approximately 05:45 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 16349 Hedgeway Dr. in Stonegate. Tower 45, stationed just a few blocks away, arrived on scene within minutes and found heavy fire at the rear of the residence. Firefighters spent about ninety minutes extinguishing the fire, checking for hot spots, conducting overhaul and ventilating the building. The residents were woken up by their barking dogs and made it out of the burning home safely. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
