Westminster 2nd Alarm Fire

On February 7th, 2021 at approximately 15:30 Westminster Fire Department with auto aid from Adams County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a garage fire in the area of W. 95th Ave. & and Osceola St. Engine 2 arrived on scene to heavy fire coming from the Alpha side garage spreading to the living quarters of the house, and Engine 2 established their own water supply and pulled a line for fire attack operations. Battalion 1 arrived on scene assumed command and upgraded to a 2nd alarm. Truck 2 arrived, established a 2nd water supply and set up their ladder for aerial operations. Engine 1 arrived and established a 3rd water supply. The roof of the garage collapsed and crews went to a defensive strategy. Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the original house. 2 vehicles were destroyed in the garage. A cat was rescued from the scene and taken to a local vet. Later that evening, fire crews returned to the house and put out a rekindled fire.
