Westminster Structure Fire

Around 22:05 on April 8th, 2021 Westminster Fire Department with auto-aid from Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 7700 block of Knox Court in South Westminster. Engine 1 arrived to heavy smoke conditions coming from the roof of a one-story single-family residential, and pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack to the Charlie side with Medic 1. Engine 2 secured the water supply to Engine 1, and pulled a second attack line, and Truck 2 started the primary search. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy, and assigned Medic 2 as rehab. Engine 11 arrived and assigned to ladder the roof on the Alpha side and checked the attic for extension. Fire conditions were found in the attic of the home and crews use thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots. Crews got the fire under control, and started overhaul. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
