On May 29th, 2022 at 05:23 Arvada Fire Protection District with auto-aid from West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a working structure fire in the 8900 block of W. 52nd Ave. Rescue 52 arrived to a two-story townhome under construction with heavy fire showing and Engine 51 secured the water supply. Crews worked defensive strategy with a 2 1/2 to the Delta side and 2 1/2 to the Bravo side. Engine 51 deployed their deck gun for fire attack. Battalion Chief 51 arrived and assume command. Truck 54 and Tower 56 set-up for aerial master stream operations. Engine 16 and established a water supply and deployed their deck gun for fire attack operations. Crews got the fire under control at 05:49 and started an extended overhaul and investigation. No injuries were reported and the cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
