Aurora Structure Fire

On August 3rd, 2022 at approximately 14:35 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 17419 E. Whitaker Drive. A heavy black plume of smoke could be scene thought the southeast metro area. Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy fire in three neighboring single-family homes. Crews spent about forty minutes extinguishing the blaze in all three buildings and another ninety minutes checking for hot spots and conducting overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The American Red Cross was called to assist displaced residents.
