Around 03:45 on April 12th, 2022 Beulah Fire Protection and Ambulance District was dispatched by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center to a structure fire in the 8700 block of Pine Dr. Crews arrived to a fully involved vacant residence being fueled by strong winds pushing through the area. Mutual-aid was immediately requested including the west task force. Firefighters struggled in the harsh winds which had caused the fire to spread to another structure as well as the surrounding vegetation. At one point multiple trees were torching as the fire reached the crown level of the surrounding forest. Due to diligent hard work, the fire was contained to around 3 acres and only the two vacant structures were lost. Crews were on scene for over 8 hours. Pueblo Fire Department Engine 39 backfilled Beulah Station 1. Additional information provided by Code 4 Photography
