Centennial South Potomac 2nd Alarm Commercial Fire

Commercial Structure Fire

On November 9th, 2022 at approximately 06:00 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at 7059 S. Potomac St. in Centennial. Units responding to the scene observed smoke in the area. Crews found a fire in a building that houses generator equipment. Firefighters were able to contain and eventually extinguish the fire with limited water due to concerns of hazardous materials in the area. A second alarm and the hazardous materials team were dispatched to the scene. SMFR was on scene about four hours fighting the fire and neutralizing the hazards. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
