South Metro Structure Fire

At 22:25 on March 13th, 2022 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire in the 4600 block of Denice Dr. in Cherry Hills Village. Tower 32 arrived to a medium size two-story residential structure with heavy fire showing from the Alpha side 2nd floor and roof, and pulled a 1 3/4 line for transitional fire attack. Engine 38 arrived and secured their own water supply and started fire attack with a horizontal to the Alpha door. Battalion Chief 3 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy, and assigned Medic 31 to assist Tower 32 with the primary search and Medic 32 with medical. Engine 14 pulled a 2nd line off Engine 38 and hooked into the horizontal. Firefighters worked on vertical ventilation and had an extensive overhaul. Investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office are looking into the cause. There were no reports of injuries. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
