Denver Ice Rescue Training

The Denver Fire Department held ice rescue training on January 30th, 2022 at Rocky Mountain Lake Park in northwest Denver. Rescue 2 conducted the training for the crews of Engine 7 and Engine 17. Firefighters practicing rescuing people who had fallen though the ice into the frigid water. Regular training helps firefighters hone their skills and remain familiar with the specialized equipment needed to complete the task in the event of a real emergency.
