Denver Structure Fire

At 04:35 on March 10th, 2022 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to the 2400 block of Vine St. in the Whittier neighborhood for a report of a house with the 2nd story on fire. Crews arrived and found heavy fire on the 2nd story of a two-story single-family dwelling, spreading to nearby exposures. Engine 8 laid in and made a push from the front, while Engine 3 laid to the alley. Engine 10 exposure line on Delta side and Rescue 2 exposure line Bravo side. At 04:42 the back-out tones were sounded as the roof started to cave in, and at 04:46 the roof collapsed inside the house. Tower 15 set up tower ladder operations with Engine 15 supplying them. Companies remained on scene throughout the morning putting out hot spots. The American Red Cross was requested. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
