South Metro Residential Fire

At approximately 21:32 on June 29th, 2022 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a single-family residential structure fire on Michener Way in Douglas County. The initial 9-1-1 caller reported a fire in a bedroom with visible flames seen from the window. The first arriving engine companies quickly pulled an 1 3/4 hose line, secured a water supply, and performed a primary search of the home. The fire was extinguished and contained to the rooms and attic space above the garage. The cause is under investigation by the SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office.
