
Lakewood South Cole Court Defensive Fire
West Metro Structure Fire
At 05:03 on March 17th, 2022 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 2700 block of S. Cole Court in Lakewood. Jeffcom received multiple calls reporting fire from the back of the house and fully involved. Engine 4 arrived to a two-story single-family fully involved working fire, pulled 2 1/2 for defensive fire attack and offensive structure protection to the adjacent structures. Engine 8 arrived and secured the water supply to Engine 4, Engine 9 pulled a 2nd 2 1/2 line in, and Engine 4 deployed their deck gun for fire attack. District 2 arrived and took command, and assigned crews with primary searches of the two adjacent structures. Crews encountered a partial collapse on the Charlie side of the home and pulled another line in for fire attack. Command requested additional engine to the scene, and Tower 8 started master stream ops. The fire was put under control at 06:40 and crews started an extensive overhaul. A deceased individual was found inside the structure. The home is a total loss, the origin and cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
