Larkspur Structure Fire

On August 28th, 2022 at approximately 14:05 Larkspur Fire Protection District and several other area departments were dispatched to a working residential structure fire at 11469 Haskel Creek Rd. near Greenland. Monument Battalion 502 arrived on scene and reported heavy fire in the attached garage and had Engine 513 pull a 2.5″ line for fire attack. Crews made entry to conduct a primary search and for fire control. As the incident progressed, fire extended to the attic and basement prompting a withdraw from the structure and defensive operations with exterior lines and a deck gun. Several tenders were used to shuttle water to the scene from about a mile away. Firefighters were on scene several hours battling the blaze and conducting overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire, which did extensive damage to the home, and the fire is under investigation.
