The North Metro Fire Rescue District held their open house on October 8th, 2022 at Station 62 in Northglenn. The community was invited out to Station 62 to meet with firefighters, tour the apparatus, and see fire safety demonstrations. The crew of Station 62 also cooked lunch for those who were attending. A demonstration of pouring water on a grease fire was given, and the Fire Prevention Specialists also given out demonstrations on how to put out multiple types of kitchen fires. Station 62 was originally built in 1967 and the station location is the former West Adams County Fire Department Station and Headquarters.
