Defensive Restaurant Fire

On November 8th, 2022 at 03:01 Aurora Fire Rescue and Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire in the 1100 block of S. Havana St in the Expo Park neighborhood. Aurora Engine 4 arrived on scene to a single-story restaurant with heavy fire and smoke showing through the roof. Denver Truck 19 and Engine 19 arrived as second in with assignment for the Alpha side while Aurora Engine 4 and Engine 11 on the Charlie side. Engine 19 charged a line from the deck gun and Truck 19 made entry to the structure completing a primary search. Engine 4 and Engine 11 pulled water supplies to the Charlie side. Back out tones were sent out for a defensive attack. Ladder 8 set up aerial ladder to the Charlie side. The fire was quickly knocked and the fire cause is under investigation.
