Thornton Apartment Fire

On September 24th, 2022 at 09:13 North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to Thornton Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the 10200 block of Ura Lane in Thornton. Truck 62 arrived to a smoke showing from the 2nd floor and upgraded the alarm to a working fire. Truck 62 pulled horizontal standpipe pre-connect to the Alpha side for offensive fire attack and primary search. Battalion 62 arrived and assumed command, and Engine 72 secured the water supply to Truck 62. Medic 62 pulled a 2nd line to the 3rd floor and checked for extension. Crews got the fire quickly out from a room & contents fire at 09:29 and started overhaul.

Crews arrived to heavy fire showing and a major incident tone was requested.
