On February 2nd, 2023 at approximately 10:49 Aurora Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire at the Old Chicago, 6676 S. Parker Rd. Engine 42 arrived on scene to a medium size single-story restaurant structure with nothing showing with evacuations in progress. Battalion Chief 5 arrived and assumed command on the Charlie side in the offensive stradgety. While investigating units found a light haze in the building and requested a crew to the roof. Tower 35 and Ladder 6 assessed the roof with Engines 6 and Engine 10 staged at water supplies. Crews found no fire and crews stayed on scene for a short time and patrons were let back in. The smoke was caused by a power surge in the area and smoke from the HVAC unit.

South Metro: Battalion Chief 5, Safety 35, Engine 42 & Tower 35
