Aurora Structure Fire

On September 22nd, 2023 at approximately 10:40 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 17505 E. Mansfield Ave. Engine 9 arrived on scene and observed smoke coming from a multi-family three-story residential apartment building. Crews found that a fire had started in a wall behind a light switch. Crews were on scene over and hour extinguishing the fire, checking the building for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported.
