Bennett County Road 137 Hay Trailer Fire
Hay Trailer Fire

On August 30th, 2023 at 20:07 Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue responded to a hay trailer fire at 2851 County Rd. 137. Chief 91 arrived on scene to a small trailer fully involved. Engine 91 arrived and started fire attack and Tender 91 supplied Engine 91. Engine 92 pulled a 2nd line in for fire attack. Crews worked heavy fire involving hay bales on the trailer and command requested Strasburg for mutual-aid with a brush truck. Crews were on scene for several hours with overhaul and the investigation. No injures were reported and the cause is unknown at this time.
