Second Alarm Apartment Fire
At 15:34 on June 2nd, 2023 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at Glen Oaks, 2301 E. Fremont Ave. in Centennial. Units arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from the attic of a two-story multi-family residential structure. A second alarm was toned out. Crews were on scene over two hours battling the blaze and mopping up. At least four units were heavy damaged and the building suffered a partial roof collapse. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The American Red Cross and the Arapahoe County Victims Assistance and Emergency Management was called to the scene to assist displaced residents. The SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
