Rope Rescue Training

The Clear Creek Fire Authority hosted a 40-hour rope rescue course from July 17th, 2023 through July 21st, 2023. On July 21st, 2023 the class participated in a mock rescue off Hwy. 6 along the Clear Creek Greenway Trail. The class, which was instructed by CMC, provided advanced rescue training that tested rigging skills and problem-solving capabilities. Students received instruction on belay techniques, artificial anchor points, guiding lines and advanced litter handling. CMC, based in Goleta, California, offers instruction in rope rescue, confined space rescue, trench rescue and structural collapse.
