Denver High Rise Fire

On April 10th, 2023 around 15:22 Denver Fire Department responded to a Class 1 Fire Alarm at Eviva on Cherokee, 1250 Cherokee St. Engine 11 arrived to nothing showing and started the investigation. The call was upgraded to a working multi-family structure fire with smoke showing from an apartment unit and Engine 1 laid duel lines and connected to the stand-pipe system. Engine 8 took the hydrant for Engine 1. Rescue 1 took the street side of the building. The fire was contained to the fire unit from the kitchen area and suppressed by the sprinkler system. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
