The 2023 East Metro Training Consortium Academy in now underway and part of the East Metro I-70 Corridor Fire Departments. The recruits were at Sable Altura on May 5th, 2023, donning bunker gear, familiarizing themselves with the radio, tying knots, hoisting equipment and conducting hose moments. The fifteen recruits from Sable Altura Fire Rescue, Strasburg Fire Protection District and Deer Trail Rural Fire Protection District are slated to graduate later this summer.
