Poudre Motel Fire

On October 4th, 2023 at 23:12 Poudre Fire Authority responded to a commercial structure fire at the Montclair Motel, 1405 N College Ave. in Fort Collins. Fort Collins 911 advised of multiple callers and possible people trapped and Battalion 1 requested a 2nd alarm. Engine 12 arrived to a working fire in a medium single-story commercial structure with a working fire and pulled 2 lines in for fire attack. Tower 1 started the search and Engine 1 secured the water supply to Engine 12. Battalion 1 assumed command in the offensive strategy. Engine 3 pulled another line in and assisted with fire attack with Engine 12. Crews were on scene for several hours with overhaul and the investigation. N. College Ave. was closed during the fire operations in both directions. One resident was transported to the hospital and no other injuries were reported. No other structures are threatened and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority
