West Metro RV / Structure Fire

At 03:08 on July 31st, 2023 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue to a possible structure fire in the 7000 block of W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood. Engine 1 arrived to a fully involved RV in a parking lot with extension into a structure and power lines also involved and pulled a 1 3/4 in for fire attack in the offensive strategy. Engine 3 secured Engine 1’s water supply at Teller St. & W. Colfax Ave. Tower 2 assigned with to check for extension on the east side of the apartment building and Engine 2 assisted Engine 1 with fire attack with Medic 1 and Medic 11. District 1 arrived and assumed command on the Bravo side. Crews quickly extinguished the fire in the RV with some extension to the business, mostly up in the eaves with some smoke damage inside. Five vehicles were also damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided West Metro Fire Rescue
