West Metro Structure Fire

On April 20th, 2023 at 12:46 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 9000 block of W. Polk Drive. in the Kipling Hills neighborhood in Littleton. Engine 12 arrived on scene to a single-story single-family with the front of the home fully involved and pulled a 1 3/4 fire attack. District 3 arrived and assumed command and assigned South Metro Engine 13 with the water supply to Engine 12 and Tower 18 with the primary search. West Metro Engine 13 pulled a line to the basement area, Tower 8 went to the 2nd floor to check for extension to the attic. The home had considerable damage to the front side and second floor. American Red Cross was requested to assist. The cause of the fire was improperly disposed smoking materials. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
