Loveland House Fire

At 23:11 on August 30th, 2023 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) (200) dispatched Loveland Fire Rescue Authority to an unconfirmed structure fire on Lavastone Ave. with the 911 caller reporting hearing a smoke detector sounding and detected a smell of smoke coming from neighbor’s house. Engine 41 arrived on scene of a small single-story house with smoke in the area. The Captain of Engine 41 completed a 360 size up reporting a basement fire with smoke showing from the window wells on the Bravo side. The assignment was upgraded to a confirmed structure fire and Battalion 41 assumed command from Engine 41’s Captain. Squad 46 and Tower 46 were assigned to primary search and flow path control. Engine 50 assisted the Engine 41 Engineer with securing a water supply and then deployed a 2nd attack line. Engine 41’s Captain reported that the fire had been knocked down, the fire was in the basement utility room. Engine 45’s Captain was assigned as the Attack Group Supervisor and Rescue 42’s Lieutenant was designated as the Support Group Supervisor. The primary search was all clear and flow path control was transitioned to ventilation operations. The fire was placed under control at 23:36.
