On May 2nd 2023 members of Loveland Fire Rescue Authority were honored to welcome Congressman Joe Neguse to the future home of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Health & Wellness Center. LFRA with the support of Congressman Neguse was recently awarded $500,000 to refurbish an existing structure at the LFRA Training Center that was most recently used as a training prop for search and rescue to serve as a health & wellness center for firefighters throughout Northern Colorado. In 2022, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District, Greeley Fire, Windsor Severance Fire Rescue, and Evans Fire Protection District were awarded a regional grant to begin offering annual medical physicals to include cancer screenings and behavioral health assessments. Texas based Front Line Mobile Health will serve as the primary provider for the health screenings for participating departments. Upon completing the Health & Wellness Center, Front Line Mobile Health will establish a permanent presence at the facility and continue providing medical screening and related services to firefighters throughout Northern Colorado. LFRA and participating departments shared their appreciation for Congressman Neguse’s visit and his tireless commitment to the health & wellness of Colorado’s firefighters.
