Pueblo Community CSEPP Exercise
The annual Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program exercise was held on May 3, 2023 at the Runyon Sports Complex. The annual exercise is designed to test the community’s repose to an emergency chemical event. This year, crews responded to a simulated tanker crash near I-25 and E. D St.. The tanker was carrying a hazardous material which spilled in the crash. Crews identified the chemical, triaged the patients and set up a decontamination station in the parking lot of the sports complex.
