Lakewood Mobile Home Fire

On June 24th, 2023 at 18:33 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 1400 block of Allison St. at the Lakewood Village Mobile Home Park. Jeffcom advised multiple 911 calls reporting flames showing with an explosion and possible trapped person inside. Engine 1 arrived to a smoke showing from a small single-story mobile home and pulled a 1 3/4 in for fire attack and the primary search with Medic 1. Engine 2 secured the water supply to Engine 1 and Medic 2 assigned as medical. District 1 arrived on scene and took over command in the offensive strategy. Engine 16 pulled a second 1 3/4 back-up line in. The fire was put under control at 18:52 with no extension to any of the other mobile homes.  The owner was not home, but two dogs were trapped inside. Unfortunately, crews were not able to get to the dogs in time. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided West Metro Fire Rescue
