Tender 6 “Washing In” Ceremony

On August 12th, 2023 West Metro Fire Rescue put their new water tender into service with a traditional “washing in” ceremony at Station 4. The new tender is the first for the department and will be located at Station 6, 151 W. 6th Ave. Service Rd. The community came out for the ceremony and to tour the new tender, tour the station and meet up with the firefighters. Tender 6 is nicknamed “Sasquatch 6” and it is a 2022 Freightliner 4-Door 4×4 made by SVI in Loveland and has 750 GPM single-stage pump with 2000 gallons of water.
