Station 6 – Golden

Fire Station 6 is located at 15100 W. 6th Ave. Service Rd, across the street from the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, built in 1985 and is the former Lakewood Fire Department (Colorado) Station 6. Station 6’s response area includes the Colorado Mills Mall, Red Rocks Community College & three major highways: I-70, C-470 & 6th Ave. This station response area borders the City of Golden and includes a dual-response with the Pleasant View Fire District (Colorado) also with Station 5 and a mutual-aid agreement with the Golden Fire Department (Colorado).

(P62) 2010 Pierce Quantum (22689-01) 1250 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank and 20 gallons of foam. Former Engine 3, Engine 2 and is the twin to Engine 4.

(P80) 2022 Freightliner 108SD 4×4 (5238) 4-Door / 2023 SVI (1194 / 74892244) (Type 1 Tactical Tender) 750 GPM (Waterous CGVK) single-stage pump, 2000 gallon water tank with foam and two 2100 gallon port-a-tanks. Nicknamed “Sasquatch 6”.
