Adams County House Fire

On January 6th, 2024 at 13:14 Adams County Fire Rescue with Thornton Fire Department and North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a house fire in the 7800 block of Joan Drive in Sherrelwood. Battalion 11 enroute advised of a working house fire with heavy smoke showing in the air and requested a major incident tone. Engine 11 arrived to a small single-family structure with a working fire and heavy smoke showing, pulled a 1 3/4 for primary search and fire control on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. Truck 11 pulled a 2nd line to the Delta side and Engine 11 secured their own water supply. Battalion 11 arrived and assumed the command and assigned Medic 14 with rehab. The fire was extinguished with no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Additional information provided by Adams County Fire Rescue
