On January 18th, 2024 at 09:52 Adams County Fire Rescue and Westminster Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 3000 block of Longfellow Place in Berkley. Engine 12 arrived to a small single-story single-family with a working fire from the Alpha side porch and pulled a 1 3/4 for primary search and fire control with Engine 11 with possible parties trapped. Battalion 11 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and requested 2 additional medics and a major incident tone. Truck 11 established the water supply to Engine 12. Crews found no trapped parties and everyone had evacuated including the family dog with no injuries. The fire was put under control at 10:06 and the cause is under investigation.
