Arvada Ice Rescue Training

Arvada Fire Protection District held their annual ice rescue training for all of the shifts the week of January 22nd, 2024 with Fairmount Fire Protection District. The training included time spent in the classroom and on the ice. Water and ice rescue is one of Arvada Fire four special operations. Members go through an annual training to keep their skills and muscle memory sharp and for certification. With temperature swings and variable conditions, the ice in the district is unreliable and generally not safe for activities. Additional information provided by Arvada Fire Protection District
