Fairmount Fire Protection District (FFPD), covering 75 square miles in Jefferson County (Colorado) including the areas of Apple Meadows, Appleridge Estates, Arvada, Ball Manufacturing Plant, Boyd Lake, Canal Park, Coal Creek, Coors Brewing Company, CoorsTek, Crestview, Drake, Duke Lake, Eldorado Estates, Francis Smart Reservoir, Glencoe Valley, Golden, Hyatt Lake, Indian Head, Leyden, Lichen Peak, Lone Pine, Long Lake Ranch Park, Lower Long Lake, Meadows Wood Farms, Mount Olivet, North Table Mountain, Northwood Acres, Quaker Acres, Pine Ridge, Ralston Reservoir, Sherwood Farms, Tucker Lake, Upper Long Lake, Van Bibber Open Space, Wheat Ridge & White Ranch Open Space-East. Fairmount Fire Protection District was established in 1961 and officially in 1962 as the Fairmount Fire Department. The Golden Fire Department and the Arvada Fire Protection District were answering calls in the district before the department was formed.
Fairmount Fire Protection District auto-aid (Automatic-Aid) agreement / or mutual-aid with Arvada Fire Protection District, Coal Creek Canyon Fire Protection District, Golden Gate Fire Protection District, Golden Fire Department, Mountain View Fire Rescue, Pleasant View Fire Department, West Metro Fire Rescue, and the North Area Automatic Aid Agreement in 2019.
Stadium Medical is the EMS contract provider for the district.
Fairmount Fire Protection District will have a ballot question on November 5th, 2024 to ask voters for a consolidation with the Arvada Fire Protection District.
Fairmount Fire Protection District (30) is dispatched by Jeffcom 911 and is part of the Central Fire Dispatch (CNF) including: Golden Gate Fire Protection District, Golden Fire Department & Pleasant View Fire Department.
