Arvada Attic Fire

On February 23rd. 2024 at 08:08 Jeffcom dispatched Arvada Fire Protection District to a reported structure fire in the 7500 block of Lamar St. Truck 54 arrived to a working attic fire showing from a small one-story single-family residents and pulled a line in for primary search and vent and Engine 55 with Medic 55 started fire attack. Battalion 51 arrived and took command in the offensive strategy. Medic 54 assigned as medical and Engine 51 as RIT. The fire was quickly put under control and crews started overhaul. A family dog was rescued and held in the back of a Arvada Police patrol unit to keep warm. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the resident.
