Aurora Structure Fire

At approximately 12:35 on June 5th, 2024 Aurora Fire Rescue Engine 1 was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in the 1700 block of N. Alton St. in Montview Park. Aurora Police arrived on scene and a found a heavily involved SUV burning in the driveway. Engine 1 arrived to a two-story single-family, and found the fire had spread to the residence and a wood privacy fence and the call was upgraded to a working residential structure fire. Engine 1 secured their own water supply and Engine 2 pulled a 2nd line in. Engine 1 extinguished the fire fairly quickly and the rest of the response was cancelled. Crews were on scene about thirty minutes checking for extension and mopping up. No injuries were reported.
