Aurora Residential Structure Fire

On July 30th, 2024 at approximately 15:55 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 4945 S. Hannibal St. A heavy black plume of smoke could be scene from around the city. Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the roof of one residence that spread to the side of the home next door. Crews were on scene about 90 minutes extinguishing the fire and mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
