At 07:07 on July 29th, 2024 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Mountain View Fire Rescue to a horse stuck in the creek at 8022 Fox Ridge Court. Engine 2202 arrived and found an elderly horse that fell approximately 12 feet down an embankment into a ditch and requested Engine 2201 and Boulder County Sheriff’s Animal Control to the scene. Crews used blankets, straps, ropes, and slide pads with the help from the Mountain View Fire Rescue Technical Rescue Team and Boulder Emergency Squad (BES) to get the horse up from the embankment to safety where a veterinarian tended to the animal’s injuries. The horse was able to walk back to his stall and is now resting. Additional information provided by Mountain View Fire Rescue and Chris Rodgers / Code 10 Photography
