Commercial Structure Fire

On May 10th, 2024 at approximately 19:30 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported commercial structure at the 7-Eleven at 7530 Village Square Drive in Castle Pines. Dispatched advised responding units that the reporting party said there was smoke in the building. Units arrived on scene and found a haze in the business. Firefighters traced the cause to a burned out HVAC motor on the roof. Crews were on scene about thirty minutes neutralizing the hazard and assisting with ventilation. No injuries were reported.
