South Metro Kitchen Fire

On November 16th, 2024 at 18:18 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire at 249 E. Highline Circle in Centennial. South Metro Fire Dispatch Center advised of a caller reporting fire within the kitchen area of one apartment unit. Units arrived at a large three-story level apartment building with a confirmed working fire on the floor 3, while Battalion 1 & Battalion 2 assuming command in the offensive attack. Fire crews got the fire under control quickly in the kitchen area and was contained to one unit only. Two occupants were evacuated on scene with no transport needed and two cats were rescued without injury.
