South Adams Structure Fire

On February 1st, 2024 at 10:06  South Adams County Fire Department, Brighton Fire Rescue District and Platte Valley Ambulance Service responded to a structure fire in the 8700 block of Willow St. Dispatch advised that 911 callers reporting a home fire with smoke coming from the roof area. Engine 23 arrived to a working fire from the Alpha side of a single-story single-family residential and pulled a line in for fire attack. Tower 24 arrived and started the primary search and Chief 24 arrived and assumed command. Crews were able to locate and extinguish the fire quickly. The family was able to evacuate safely, with no injuries and the crews rescued four puppies from the home. The fire is under investigation.
