Denver 2nd Alarm Fire

At 08:26 on January 13th, 2024 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 4700 block of N. Williams St. in the Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. Crews arrived to heavy fire showing from a two-story single-family residential, pulled a line in for fire attack and worked to protect exposures from fire spread. Crews started the primary search and removed one victim out of the structure. The patient was transported by Denver Paramedics to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Crews worked heavy defensive fire and command ordered all crews to back out with collapse conditions. Command requested several additional units before being upgraded to a 2nd alarm due to the cold weather conditions with temperatures -11 degrees. The fire was put under control with crews starting a extended overhaul and investigation. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
