Denver 2nd Alarm Basement Fire

On November 11th, 2024 around 21:50 Denver Fire Department responded to a single-family structure fire in the 5200 block of Orleans St. in Green Valley Ranch. Crews arrived on scene with a confirmed basement fire. Heavy heat in the basement weakened the flooring and firefighters fell approximately 7 to 9 feet when the floor collapsed. Both firefighters were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm and was put under control around 22:10. One civilian was evaluated on scene but was not transported. The fire cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
