Downtown Littleton Main Street Structural Collapse
South Metro Structural Collapse
On June 15th, 2024 at 08:34 South Metro Fire Rescue and the Technical Rescue Team responded to a structural collapse call at the Bradford Auto Body, 2659 W. Main St. in downtown Littleton. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered that approximately 30’x 30′ section of the roof had collapsed. No one was inside the building at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. In the initial assessment of the situation, it was determined that construction workers on the roof were moving gravel into piles, which ultimately led to the collapse. The weight of the gravel proved to be too much for the structure to bear, resulting in the roof giving way. Following the incident, the building was turned over to the City of Littleton Building Inspector for further evaluation and assessment. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
