Fort Lupton Storage Building Fire

At 16:50 on February 10th, 2024 Weld County Regional Communications Center dispatched Fort Lupton Fire Protection District to the report of a storage unit on fire with smoke coming from the entire storage unit in the 900 block of Denver Ave. in Fort Lupton. Engine 2601 arrived to a single-story storage building with active fire and smoke coming from one of the buildings that had 6 individual storage units. Battalion 2660 arrived and assumed command and requested an additional Battalion and Engine from Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District. The fire was quickly brought under control and crews started an extensive overhaul. There was fire and smoke damage to all 6 units. No reported injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Additional information provided by Fort Lupton Fire Protection District
